Build a visual LOTO placard for each machine in about 10 minutes: photos of every isolation point, auto-written shutdown and restore steps in English and Spanish, a QR code to the current version, and annual inspection tracking. No consultant. No sales call.
OSHA requires a written energy control procedure for each machine with hazardous energy (29 CFR 1910.147(c)(4)), plus a periodic inspection of every procedure at least once a year ((c)(6)). Most small shops have a generic program binder and a few Word documents, if anything.

Start from a template (CNC mill, lathe, press, compressor, conveyor…) or a blank procedure.
Add each disconnect, valve and stored-energy hazard. Snap a photo of every isolation point from your phone.
Download the placard and isolation point labels, or have them made as hard signs or stickers and shipped to you.
Log the annual periodic inspection, print the certification record, and get a reminder before the next one is due.
Color-coded energy codes (E1, P1, H1…) with a photo of each disconnect and valve, so nobody guesses which one to lock.
Built-in step text and energy terms in both languages, side by side or one at a time. Add your own Spanish for custom notes.
Flags missing elements that 1910.147(c)(4)(ii) calls for: intended use, isolation steps, lock responsibility, verification.
Every placard has a QR code that opens the latest revision on any phone, so outdated paper copies are easy to catch.
Record periodic inspections, print certification records, and see which machines are overdue at a glance.
A matching E1/P1/H1 label for every disconnect and valve, so the placard and the machine speak the same language. Print on waterproof Avery sheets.
Don't want to print? Order hard aluminum signs or vinyl stickers plus labels, made and shipped to your door.
Export every procedure as a single PDF for your safety binder, an insurance auditor, or an OSHA visit (Pro).

A manufacturing engineer writes every procedure in LotoKit for your review, usually within 3 business days of having what we need. $149 per machine when you send photos and we talk it through by video or phone; your first one is free so you can judge the quality. Need someone on site? Choose a site-visit consultation below and we'll quote it for your location.
No software can do that by itself, and we won't pretend otherwise. LotoKit helps you write procedures that contain the elements 1910.147(c)(4)(ii) calls for, print them clearly, and keep periodic inspection records. You still need to verify each procedure on the actual machine, train your employees, and run your energy control program.
Generally yes, unless a machine meets every condition of the exception in 1910.147(c)(4)(i). OSHA guidance has also said that one written procedure may cover a group of machines that use the same type and magnitude of energy and have the same or similar controls (see OSHA's June 20, 1996 interpretation letter). LotoKit's duplicate feature makes it easy to build variants.
The built-in steps, energy types, methods and verification text are written in plain shop-floor Spanish. Anything you type yourself (device names, notes) you can enter in Spanish too; the checker reminds you when a custom field has no Spanish. We recommend a bilingual supervisor review your placards before posting.
It opens a mobile-friendly, read-only page with the latest revision of that procedure, including photos. If someone scans an old printout, they see what has changed. Anyone with the link can view that one procedure, so don't put confidential information in it.
